19 Tichbourne Street
was a small development of nine self contained flats which provided a problem to be solved. The requirement for an automatically opening ventilator at the head of the stair was originally missed in the construction of the building meaning of course that a specific design would be required to fit an appropriate alternative system into limited space and within a limited time frame. Utilising expert knowledge and years of experience, a forced extraction system was designed and subsequently approved through building control as an appropriate alternative.

Madeley Academy
was a challenging project for smoke design with architectural features and input restricting the type and relevant sizes of each ventilator. However, a simple yet effective design was produced with the coordination of all parties including the architect, building control and the local fire officer. The final design not only provided effective measures for the control of smoke during a fire scenario but also doubled to provide a means of natural cooling via BMS control on a day to day basis.

Hull New Theatre
was a prestigious project to renovate the existing theatre and provide new smoke ventilators to the stage area. It is never a simple case of replacing old for new as units had to be custom made to best match the existing unit sizes. High quality NKV-T acoustic louvered ventilators tested to BS EN 12101-2 were supplied to provide the best acoustic performance from a louvered smoke ventilator.

Floral Pavilion Theatre
demanded a high acoustic performance specification to meet the needs of building control but also needed the universally required smoke ventilation system to the stage area within a theatre. The answer was NKVD-PF smoke ventilators tested to BS EN12101-2 and acoustically insulated to 43dB. These specialist units not only subdue the theatrical sounds from spilling out of the theatre but also provide a suitable means of smoke ventilation in case of a fire scenario.

Lincoln Minster School
was a stones throw from Lincoln Cathedral and as such deserved the best possible architectural look. The smoke ventilation system was designed and smoke ventilators were selected with this in mind. TFV-G units with concealed mechanisms for controlled opening and closing were provided to give the minimum ascetic impact and so subtly fading into the buildings structure.

Middleton Arena
was a new purpose built development designed to provide a multitude of facilities including a new stage for performing arts. This new stage found itself with a requirement for smoke ventilation with a high acoustic performance. The solution was NKVD-PF smoke ventilators tested to BS EN12101-2 and acoustically insulated to 43dB. These specialist units not only subdue the theatrical sounds from spilling out of the theatre but also provide a suitable means of smoke ventilation in case of a fire scenario.
